La legendaria mu\u00f1eca Okiku, llamada as\u00ed por la ni\u00f1a que hace mucho<br \/>\ntiempo sol\u00eda jugar con ella, es una mu\u00f1eca de porcelana vestida de kimono y de<br \/>\n40 cent\u00edmetros y ojos negros&#8230; y cabello que crece.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">La mu\u00f1eca Okiku ha residido en el templo<br \/>\nMannenji en el pueblo de Iwamizawa (de la prefectura Hokkaido) desde 1938.<br \/>\nSeg\u00fan los cuidadores del templo, al principio la tradicional mu\u00f1eca ten\u00eda el<br \/>\ncabello corto, pero con el tiempo ha crecido hasta 25 cent\u00edmetros hasta sus<br \/>\nrodillas. Aunque el cabello es cortado peri\u00f3dicamente, dicen que sigue<br \/>\ncreciendo.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Seg\u00fan cuenta la historia, la mu\u00f1eca fue<br \/>\ncomprada originalmente en 1918 por un chico de 17 a\u00f1os llamado Eikichi Suzuki<br \/>\nmientras visitaba Sapporo por una exhibici\u00f3n marina. Compr\u00f3 la mu\u00f1eca en<br \/>\nTanuki-koji (La m\u00e1s famosa calle de compras de Sapporo) como un recuerdo para<br \/>\nsu hermanita de 2 a\u00f1os, Okiku. La ni\u00f1ita adoraba su mu\u00f1eca y jugaba con ella<br \/>\ntodos los d\u00edas, pero al siguiente a\u00f1o, la ni\u00f1a muri\u00f3 repentinamente por un<br \/>\nresfriado.
